Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2014, Syed Muhammad Adeeb Barakbah has represented clients at various levels of courts in Malaysia in both civil and criminal litigations. An accomplished legal professional, Adeeb is also astute in corporate and commercial matters.
As a partner with Luqman Iswatt & Partners, Adeeb handles a wide array of matters including but not limited to Commercial Litigation, Criminal Litigation, General Civil Litigation and more. In 2013, Adeeb completed his pupilage at Messrs Azzat & Izzat where he gained valuable insight from seasoned legal practitioners. Afterwards, he joined Messrs Low, Vignesh & Co. as a Paralegal in 2015 before cementing himself as an Associate within the same year. He subsequently joined Messrs Vignesh Kumar & Associates in 2016 as an Associate before setting up Messrs Adeeb Barakbah & Associates as its sole proprietor.
Throughout his years in the legal arena, Adeeb has garnered a wide range of experience both as a practising lawyer as well as a part-time Law Lecturer with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). In fact, Adeeb is noteworthy for having his experience as a legal practitioner complemented by his exploits in the academic field, whereby he possesses both a Diploma in Shariah Law and Practice
(DLSA) and Masters of Law (LL.M).
A sports and outdoor enthusiast, Adeeb spends most of his spare time running and swimming. He is also a skilled bagpiper and was a Pipe Section Commander of the Kuala Lumpur Victoria Institution Cadet Corps Band during his youth.
